British filmmakers have released a beautiful new film, Beauty and the Bike, about the experiences of British and Dutch women riding bikes and feeling the empowerment and freedom that bicycles bring to all our lives. Yuba Bicycles is proud to announce that a Mundo was used in the filming. You can see a clip of the Mundo being used to carry a photographer, who sits on the back and shoots photos of the beauties as they pedal behind him. We urge all Mundo fans to check out the film. This project shows the ability of the Mundo to get work done. Here’s a short clip of the Mundo used on Beauty and the Bike
If there are other filmmakers out there who have used a Mundo to make a movie, please contact us. Even if you’re not a moviemaker, send us your photos and film clips that show how you’re using your Mundo to accomplish tasks that previously required a car or truck.

Readers in Marin are learning all about the environmental benefits of riding a Mundo cargo bike. The Sausalito Marinscope and Ross Valley Reporter newspapers have a great article
Forget the Lexus. The Mundo is a Babe Magnet
about the Mundo and Yuba Bicycles founder Ben Sarrazin. “Next time you need to haul something large across town, there’s no need to call a mover. Just get on a Mundo cargo bike,” writes reporter Kelly Dunleavy. She also interviewed an owner of Breaking Away Bicycles in Ross about the Mundo. Breaking Away is the first Marin bike shop to carry the Mundo. Pedal on down to Breaking Away and take a test ride. You’ll be astounded at how smooth and easy it is to haul groceries, children…or your girlfriend.

The cycling media is catching on to the life-altering abilities of cargo bikes. The Mundo has won Gear of the Year from Momentum Magazine. “This is a one-size-fits all bike with low stand over height for those who want to carry lots of cargo,” reads the story in the current 2010 Gear Issue issue of Momentum (scroll down the page to see the Mundo review). “It has probably one of the greatest load-bearing capacities of any similar cargo bike on the market.” Exactly! The Mundo V3 is flying out of Yuba headquarters in Sausalito as fast as we can have them built. Check out www.yubabikes.com for retail locations or give us a call to order one direct. The Mundo V3 is the bike that can actually eliminate your need for a car or truck for doing errands. Thanks, Momentum, for recognizing all our hard work.
